In conversation with Andrew Standley
Music And Minds.org presents EU Ambassador Andrew Standley in a fireside chat on the Inverness Ridge. Ambassador Standley will provide critical insights into the far-reaching impact of the Trump Administration. The administration’s rapid-fire, “shock and awe” approach has brought about a period of intense upheaval and sweeping change. Their strategy of enacting “everything all at once” has been central to advancing an aggressive and unprecedented agenda, resulting in the rapid dismantling and restructuring of numerous aspects of the U.S. government.
Now, more than ever, it is essential for us to stay on the solution side by staying informed, engaged, and proactive. We cannot afford to remain passive observers in these transformative times. I encourage everyone to join us, listen, learn, and consider how we can collectively respond to these historic developments.
Born in the UK, Andrew Standley worked for more than 30 years for the European Union, serving as EU ambassador to Bolivia, Israel, and Mexico. Prior to his career with the EU, he worked for the United Nations and in the New Hebrides in the lead-up to its independence. He obtained his B.A. from Cambridge University and his M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University. He is now happily retired in Marin County.
